Augustinerkeller
Traditionally one sits in the Augustinerkeller under ancient chestnut trees and drinks his beer from the wooden barrel, of course the one from Munich's oldest brewery. And the Augustinerkeller also has a great advantage - some of the most gravely Munichers would rather be a disadvantage: hardly any other beer garden classics is so conveniently located.
Only a few steps to the tram, suburban train and ZOB. Even to the main station is easy to walk after the third measure walk. Which naturally attracts some tourists.
About 5000 people are sitting at the tables. The classic beer garden dishes are available. And who even gets hot under the shady chestnuts, just descends a few steps into the former beer cellar and enjoys his beer in the excavated vault. Because it is - quite traditionally - cool even in the summer.
