Hofbräukeller am Wiener Platz
The fact that Wiener Platz, with its market stances, is one of the most beautiful squares in Munich, is not just a question for the Haidhauseners. He is also home to one of the most beautiful and at the same time most shady beer gardens in the city, hidden behind a large entrance gate. In the evening, the lights glow in long chains, alongside the splendid Neo-Renaissance scenery of the Hofbräukeller, and only two steps to the Isar.
Until 1988 there was still the Hofbräu brewery, then the place was scarce. The Hofbräu beer is still served. With about 1300 seats, the beer garden belongs to the middle category, here many meet for a celebration evening beer or two. In the self-service area there are typical beer garden dishes, also in small format. Obazda and sausage salad tapas. If you want to get a picture from home, the beer garden at Wiener Platz even has a webcam.
