Treasures, bargains, and a vibrant atmosphere – the Riem Flea Market is a paradise for bargain hunters and treasure seekers. Located on the grounds of the former Munich trade fair, it offers everything your heart desires: from vintage furniture and clothing to rare collectibles.
Since 1993, the Riem Flea Market has been gathering hundreds of vendors and visitors every Saturday, making it one of the largest flea markets in Bavaria. The expansive grounds offer space for more than 2,000 stalls – perfect for private sellers looking to unpack attic finds and for professional dealers offering unique wares. The idea behind it? A meeting place for the entire city, where sustainability, secondhand culture, and browsing take center stage.
From March to November, the Riem Flea Market takes place every Saturday – rain or shine! In addition to the vendor stalls, there are often food trucks with international delicacies, live music, or small art installations that make the market a truly special experience. The flea market is especially popular with families, as there's plenty for children to discover. Those who arrive early can snag the best bargains, but late afternoon also offers tempting last-minute deals.
"Here, bargain hunters will find everything that's been bought or given away in the last 40 years. From Game Boys to the first cell phones, corded phones, skis, bicycles, children's toys, and everything else you might find in a garage, attic, basement, or child's room. A quick note: Unfortunately, we don't have antiques, as the flea market is outdoors." (The organizers)
Tip for visitors:
Bring plenty of small change, as many stalls don't accept card payments, and don't forget to wear comfortable shoes – the grounds are huge! Early birds have the widest selection, while latecomers can often find great discounts.
