Sendlinger Tor
Behind the gate begins Sendlinger Sendlingerstrasse which leads directly to the Town Hall. On the left is the "movie theater Sendlinger Gate". You reach the gate with the subway.
The Sendlinger Gate - built by Ludwig 1318 - is one of the four city gates, the wall formed a ring around the then-growing city of salt. The gate flanked by two medieval towers, the middle passages were replaced in 1906 by arches. It was restored between 1972 and 1982. The Sendlinger gate sets a clear view of the Sendlingerstrasse with their more leisurely shopping area.
Very close to the gate Sendlinger also the Marionette Theater is located at the Flower Street 29a. A temple for small children!
