Bürgersaalkirche

The town hall was built in 1709, designed by Giovanni Antonio Viscardi as a meeting place of the "Marian Congregation" (led by the Jesuits). It was not until 1778, the former meeting room was consecrated. In a niche above the red marble portal of the Virgin and Child on a crescent moon is seen. The two-storey construction of the baroque exterior facade corresponds to the division into upper and lower church. In the basement of the church is the tomb of Father Rupert Mayer. GrabstätteEr cut was a resistance fighter against the Nazi regime in 1987 and canonized by Pope John Paul II blessed. His grave is now a pilgrimage site. The prayer room upstairs has a relief of the Annunciation with a late Baroque masterpiece by Andreas Faistenberger (1710/11). Section KircheEin true showpiece is the guardian angel group under the organ loft of Ignaz Günther (1763). Under the windows show the 13 oil paintings by Franz Joachim Beich (1710) landscapes of the Bavarian pilgrimage sites. Typical of the Marian devotion of the congregation are the two baroque mantle Madonna at the staircases.
